What do you think is the purpose of college education?
I think the purpose of college education is to continue what you had started in high school. I think having a college education (degree) would help you have a good job/ career. It also helps you understand that field that you are interested in way better.

What does it mean to be educated?
I think you can define being educated in many different ways. A lot of people think that the only way to be educated is if you go to college, and I comp
letely disagree with that. I think learning about what you love is being educated. If someone learns how to cook, are street smart, are in the army, etc. The things that we first learn when we was kids was being educated such as: raising our hand to answer a question, learning our ABC's, and learning how to play with our friends in a respectful manner. I think everyone learns something new everyday and I think thats the key of being educated.

What experiences have you had with education the led you to this belief?
I think seeing myself grow up made me have this belief. I feel like everyday I learn something new either if it's from school, from my parents, or from the streets. I also see how my nephews are growing up and how much more mature they become every year. They know so much because of the school, my family, their friends, etc. So what I'm trying to say is that we learn different things from different places and from different people because I know my parents thought me things that the school can't teach me, so I think everyone is educated is many different ways.
